The Golf Club at Indigo Run

Hilton Head Island’s only private Nicklaus father-and-son masterpiece

Exclusivity with a pedigree
Hidden inside the gated Indigo Run community, The Golf Club delivers the island’s most intimate championship experience. Opened in 1995—and celebrated by Golf Digest as one of America’s “Top Ten New Private Courses” the very next year—the 18-hole, par-72 layout was the first course co-designed by Jack Nicklaus and his son, Jack Nicklaus II, a distinction that still turns heads three decades later.

Where Lowcountry beauty meets Golden-Age strategy
Framed by towering pines, centuries-old live oaks, and sparkling lagoons, the routing invites bold tee shots yet demands thoughtful approaches to subtly contoured TifEagle Bermuda greens. Five sets of tees (stretching to 7,110 yards) ensure every member finds the sweet spot between playability and challenge.

Gather in the one-of-a-kind Golf Cottage
Step off the 18th green and into a warm Highlands embrace: leather club chairs, rich woods, and classic tartan accents evoke an old-world Scottish lodge. Here you’ll find a fully stocked pro shop and the Club’s relaxed grill—perfect for a post-round single-malt or chef-crafted bite among friends.

With a limited number of equity and non-equity categories, The Golf Club at Indigo Run offers true exclusivity, personalized service, and a course you’ll be proud to call your home track on Hilton Head Island. Contact (843) 689-3500 or visit indigorungolf.com to learn more.

The Golden Bear Golf Course

Hilton Head Island’s golden standard for championship golf

Lowcountry charm, Nicklaus pedigree
Tucked inside the private Indigo Run community, Golden Bear Golf Club delivers the quintessential Hilton Head experience—towering live oaks draped in Spanish moss, sparkling lagoons, and a meticulously sculpted Jack Nicklaus Signature design that rewards imagination as much as precision.

A course that challenges every club in the bag
Opened in 1992, the 18-hole, par-72 layout stretches to just over 7,000 yards from the tips yet offers forward tees as short as 5,000 yards, ensuring an enjoyable round for every skill level. Wide landing areas invite confident tee shots, while subtly contoured Bermuda greens and strategically placed bunkers demand thoughtful approach play.

Pro-level conditions—public-course access
Golden Bear earns a 4.3/5-star average from more than 4,000 GolfPass reviewers, who consistently praise its immaculate fairways, swift greens, and friendly pace of play—testament to a superintendent team that maintains tournament-ready surfaces year-round.

Everything you need, steps from the 18th green
