Station 7 (1001 Marshland Road) serves Indigo Run as part of the Hilton Head Island Fire Rescue District and the Island Rescue Squad.
Daily crew of five: Battalion Chief, Company Officer, FAO, a Firefighter/Paramedic, and Firefighter/EMT. Station 7 houses Medic 7 (ambulance), Engine 7, Utility 1 (cascade system & rehab), and Battalion 1 (Command Suburban).
For larger incidents, Station 4 (400 Squire Pope Rd) and Station 5 (20 Whooping Crane Way) are automatically dispatched as back-up.
Hilton Head Island Fire Rescue is a three-time internationally accredited agency (Commission on Fire Accreditation International) and was honored with the IAFC “Heart Safe Community” award in 2010. Staff members chair NFPA technical committees and support statewide fire-service initiatives.
